The fruiting bodies are effused, tightly connected with the substrate. Their shape is firstly round, oval, later they join together with surrounding fruiting bodies and cover the extensive area of an irregular shape. The hymenophor is slightly fleshy, juicy, pale orange to pinkish red, on the surface it is irregularly radially folded, veined to buckled .The thin flesh is gelatinous. The fungus is common in Central European forests. It occurs mainly during wet spring and autumn. It is a saprophyte and causes white rot of wood.
