Hylobius excavatus

A medium-sized beetle similar to a spruce hardwood. Its larvae develop in old stems and thus help their decomposition. Adults consume the bark of young seedlings and seedlings of forest trees. In the case of man-made commercial forests, their effects are considered harmful.
